urbAn fringE is a new Paul Mitchell Focus Salon in Chapel Hill. Owned by a National Educator with John Paul Mitchell Systems who truly loves what she does. Special attention is given to every detail of your visit with us. At urbAn fringE we are proud of our employees! We only hire stylist who are passionate about their work and take pride in their craft. Our stylist attend classes monthly to stay on the top of current styles. They excel in customer service and making guest feel at home. The A in urbAn is capitalized for Awesome and the E in fringE is capitalized for Employees, because our staff makes the salon what we are today! Green Theory We have tried to think green since beginning our urban fringe project. We recycle 95% of the materials left in the salon and installed a tankless hot water heater to conserve energy. We encourage guests to bring back their shampoo bottles for refills in an effort to create less waste and bring in their own travel mugs for a fill up at the salon coffee bar. We are members of Matter of Trust, an organization which collects and uses hair clippings to create mats which help absorb oil from petroleum spills. We are constantly looking at other ways to be a friend to the environment. Emily McClure: Emily is a licensed cosmetologist in North Carolina and Virginia.
